VP Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion

The VP EDI Sr. role leads the larger EDI portfolio. In addition to the VP EDI Sr., this portfolio consists of the VP EDI Jr., MSAP Sr. & Jr. for Student Support, and MSAP Sr. & Jr. for Education. Through our roles, we seek to center and take lead from equity-seeking student groups, who have traditionally been underrepresented in our student body, program, and governance structures. Part and parcel of this role, relating to its commitment to anti-oppression, is to further develop transparency and accountability within the Medical Society’s structures.

Wendy Wang

About Me

Hi, my name is Wendy! I’m from Thunder Bay and did my undergrad at Lakehead University in Applied Life Sciences. In my spare time, I love hiking, reading, cooking, and going to concerts.

I’m very excited to be continuing my role on MedSoc as your VP EDI Sr! I’m passionate about advocating for EDI because social injustices not only affect people on an emotional/mental level but also serve as determinants of health and impact quality of life. Please reach out to me anytime with EDI-related concerns or ideas.
